Project MARCUS
MARCUS is a smart pill dispenser. It solves the problem that older perople (especially with Alzheimer’s disease) often forget to take their medications. MARCUS signals with sound and light at preset times during the day so that all medications are taken at the corrent time. The alarms on the first version could be set via Bluetooth only, but V2 solves the distance problem by using Google Firebase backend.
Project ABIGEL
ABIGEL is a 6 DoF robotic arm. The main desgin consideration is the cost. I want to have a fully capable robotic arm for the price of a 3D printer. To achive this most of the parts are 3D printed and I use standard size hardware where the plastic wouldn”t be strong enough. To be able to use smaller motors all motors are located at the base of the arm and the torque is transmitted via cables to the differential wrist joints.
Project DORA
DORA is a project in the LEGO self-indulgent group where I am the project lead. It is an omnidirectional robot with three omniwheel. Its main task is to map its surroundings and autonomously navigate to given points. It achives this by using a vision pipeline, LIDAR, IMU, motor encoders and a GPS. To achive the sensor fusion we want we use ROS.
Mushroom growbox
Mushrooms need quite high humidity and fresh air occasionally. The first version was a plastic container sized solution, where an Arudino controlled a humidifier and a fan to keep the humidity at a given percent. It also had a display where it showed the current humidity and temeperature. The secnd version was much bigger, capable of housing multiple variety of mushrooms and the humidity and temperature readings were logged and displayed on a computer. The software was written using LabView.
Plotter
This was one of my first project at the university. The first version had two arms and a pen inbetween. The second one used a more traditional XY coordinate system.
